Rutherford Cancer Centre South Wales

Offering state-of-the-art radiotherapy, imaging and chemotherapy, the Rutherford Cancer Centre South Wales is the first of our centres to open. The centre uses the latest equipment to plan and deliver the best treatments for our patients. The Rutherford Cancer Centre South Wales is also the first of our centres to offer proton beam therapy.

Rutherford Cancer Centre North East

The Rutherford Cancer Centre North East has also opened to treat patients. Located in the beautiful Northumberland countryside and custom-built to suit the needs of our patients, the centre provides radiotherapy, imaging, chemotherapy, wellbeing services and, from mid 2019, proton beam therapy.

Rutherford Cancer Centre Thames Valley

Located in Reading, the Rutherford Cancer Centre Thames Valley opened in 2018. The centre is located at the Thames Valley Science Park, which provides highly specialist facilities and brings together some of Europe’s leading health and sciences projects. The centre offers patients radiotherapy, imaging, chemotherapy, wellbeing services and, from late 2019, proton beam therapy.

Rutherford Cancer Centre North West

Overlooking the city of Liverpool, the Rutherford Cancer Centre North West is being constructed as part of the city's exciting Knowledge Quarter development, situated close to both the university and hospital. Schedueld to open in 2019, the centre will provide specialist treatment and imaging facilities, offering patients radiotherapy, chemotherapy, supportive care services and proton beam therapy.

The Gulf International Cancer Centre, Abu Dhabi

Proton Partners International will be building a proton centre as part of the Gulf International Cancer Center (GICC), a large existing cancer centre in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The centre will be the first high energy proton beam therapy centre in the Middle East, offering treatment from 2019.

The centre is currently operational, offering the following conventional treatments:

  • Radiation therapy with intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT)
  • Radiation therapy with high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy implants
  • Chemotherapy and hormonal treatment
  • Cancer diagnosis and staging utilising positron emission tomography–computed tomography (PET-CT) with supportive cyclotron
  • Counselling for cancer education and prevention
